STEWARDSHIP:  A Way Of Life

WHAT IS "DISCIPLE STEWARDSHIP"

IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

Stewardship Council
Reena Arndt, Chair

In the Catholic Church, "disciple stewardship" is a way of life, not merely a program,
rooted in the understanding that everything -- life, talents, and resources -- is a gift from
God to be managed with gratitude and shared generosity. It is the practical response of

an authentic disciple of Jesus Christ who recognizes God as the source of all, consciously choosing to return a portion of their time, talent, and treasure to build the Church and

serve others. It is a daily, intentional decision to follow Jesus, transforming how one lives.

Stewards share their TIME (prayer, presence), TALENTS (skills, ministry service), and
TREASURE (financial support for the parish/charity). Individuals realize they are stewards, not

owners, of the gifts God has entrusted to them.

Stewardship is consider essential to a Catholic's life, serving as a sign of conversation

and a commitment to mission. It involves a shift from hoarding to sharing, allowing for the

multiplication of gifts for the kingdom of God.
